• The Cyber Express Weekly Roundup: US Puts $10 Million Bounty on Chinese Hacker, Japan Moves to Hunt Hidden Attackers and More (thecyberexpress.com) — Andover officials have confirmed that hackers gained unauthorized access to some town systems during the August 13 cyberattack, though they still don't know whether any resident data was stolen. The town says it refused to pay ransom and has brought in a law firm and cybersecurity firm Vector3, with costs covered by cyber insurance, to investigate and strengthen defenses as recovery continues.
   

• Oct. 8 Public Safety Notebook: Motorcycle Crash, Missing Child And Dirt Bikes (andovermanews.com) — Andover police and firefighters handled a motorcycle crash on I-93, safely reunited a wandering child with family near Bartlett and Park streets, and chased reports of reckless dirt bikes on River Road. Crews also searched overnight for a possible tractor-trailer fire near South Main Street but found no burning vehicle, highlighting a busy day for local first responders.
