PHOTOS: Bancroft Fairytale 5K
Bancroft Elementary School held a 5K road race Saturday morning to raise funds for PTO programs.
Dozens of kids particpated in a fundraiser race and some even dressed up like their favorite storybook character...or just spiderman. Students lined up by the dozens to take part in the "Book it to the Finish" 5k road race Saturday along with other adult runners. The Bancroft Parent Teacher Organization held the fundraiser with the help of local sponsors.
The PTO also brought in volunteers from Merrimack Track Team as well as countless Bancroft parents and teachers. The fundraiser will support PTO events at the Bancroft School.
Sponsors for the race include , Skanska, Uni-Weld, AceHomedics, Lawrence General Hospital, , Town and Country Storage, Inc., and . Prizes for the race were donated by the , Mizuno, New Balance and Halloween Express. The best costume won a 6-foot inflatable black cat from Halloween Express.
