Windham Community Band Plays Free Concert in Andover Park

The Windham Community Band returns to the Concert in the Park series next Wednesday, July 29, for the 2015 season.

The Windham Community Band returns to the Concert in the Park series next Wednesday, July 29, for the 2015 season. The 40-piece orchestra will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. in the common at The Park at the corner of Chestnut and Bartlet streets.

The event is brought to the community free by Andover DCS in conjunction with the sponsor GP Homestay, an educational service company that specializes in bringing support to international student programs in the United States. The Windham Community Band’s

The Windham Community Band was established in 1997 as an eight-piece ensemble and now consists of about 80 members. The band is a volunteer non-profit organization that has members of all ages from across the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire. Their musical selections take you on a nostalgic journey with medleys of popular music from all eras, allowing for something fun for everyone!

GP Homestay will be on-site to talk with potential host families about the endless possibilities and wonderful experiences that can come from hosting an international student in their homes. So pack a picnic dinner and come down to the park and enjoy the musical styling of the Windham Community Band while supporting local community member, GP Homestay, with a free night of music in the beautiful park in downtown Andover.
