84-Year-Old Man Hit by Car on Mass. Ave.

The crash occurred Thursday evening.

An 84-year-old Arlington man was struck by a car Thursday evening on Mass. Ave., near Trowbridge Street in East Arlington.

The crash occurred at about 6:30 p.m., according to Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan.

He said the victim is being treated at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and his injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening as of Thursday night.

A 22-year-old Norwood man was driving the car. He has not been cited, but the crash remains under investigation, Ryan said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
