AHS Principal Search Halted
Search committee unable to find three suitable finalists to replace retired Principal Charles Skidmore.
Arlington Public Schools officials are putting a hold on the search for a new principal at Arlington High School, the Boston Globe reported.
The search has been underway since beloved Principal Charles Skidmore announced he would retire after seven years at the helm of the high school.
Interim Principal Mary Villano has been the school's top administrator since the beginning of this academic year.

Superintendent Kathleen Bodie said a search committe was unable to select three finalists for the job, according to the Globe. Villano has agreed to serve another year on the job and the search will recommence in during the 2012-13 academic year, the paper reported.
Bodie told the Globe that quite a few candidates but the search committee could not zero in on three suitable finalists, the Globe reported.
