Arlington's Tiny Shed Series Features Live Music Every Sunday In June

ArtsArlington is the public-facing organization of the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture.

ARLINGTON, MA — Live music, art exhibits, family activities, and self-guided tours are planned at Arlington's Visitor Center through October as part of the Tiny Shed Arts and Discovery Series, ArtsArlington announced.

The program takes place at the Arlington Visitor Center near Uncle Sam Plaza in Arlington Center and is presented by ArtsArlington in partnership with the Arlington Tourism and Economic Development Committee. Activities are scheduled on weekends from May through October.

The Visitor Center is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers said live music performances are scheduled on Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting, with a rotating lineup of local musicians and performers throughout the season.

The remaining June performance schedule includes the Larry Pick Up Your Hat on Sunday, June 14, Ensemble Eclectica on Sunday, June 21, and Arlington Express on Sunday, June 28.

In addition to music, the series includes rotating exhibits highlighting Arlington's arts, culture and history. Visitors can also participate in arts-and-crafts activities and access self-guided audio tours exploring destinations within the Arlington Cultural District. Organizers said exhibits and activities throughout the season may highlight local history, public art and Arlington250 programming.

ArtsArlington is the public-facing organization of the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture, which oversees many of the town's arts and cultural initiatives. The organization manages the Arlington Cultural District, supports public art projects, promotes local artists and cultural events, and helps administer arts-related grants and programming throughout the community.

The group also supports year-round events and programs in Arlington, including cultural festivals, public art installations, artist initiatives, and other community-based arts programming designed to increase access to the arts and showcase local talent.

The Tiny Shed Arts and Discovery Series is supported by ArtsArlington, the Arlington Tourism and Economic Development Committee, Mirak Properties and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Freedom's Way National Heritage Area's Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture and History is also involved in select programming.
