In that role, she also served as a liaison to the Merrimack Valley Transit Authority, coordinated public engagement for the Transportation Program, and supported municipal and regional grant applications across all 15 communities in the region.

"Arlington's commitment to sustainable transportation and Complete Streets is something I deeply appreciate as an Arlington resident, and I am eager to contribute to that work," Maldari said in a statement. "I look forward to partnering with the Transportation Advisory Committee, Town staff, and the broader Arlington community to advance these initiatives."

Director of Planning and Community Development Claire Ricker said Maldari brings a combination of technical expertise and community engagement skills that align with Arlington's transportation goals. She said Maldari will contribute to the town's ongoing work on Connect Arlington, Complete Streets, and multi-modal planning for residents of all ages and abilities.

Maldari holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tufts University and a Master in Eco-Social Design from the Free University of Bolzano in Bolzano, Italy.
