Arlington's Unofficial 2016 General Election Results

The unofficial voting results from Arlington have come in.

ARLINGTON, MA – The unofficial election results are in, and Arlington voters have favored Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton over Republican Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

According to the unofficial results from the city clerk’s office, Clinton won 76.07 percent of the vote in Arlington compared to Trump's 17.45 percent. However, Trump was victorious in the general election.

Additionally, Arlington residents voted "yes" on the legalization of marijuana and voted "no" on charter school expansion. Congresswoman Katherine Clark, councillor Marilyn Petitto Devaney, Sen. Ken Donnelly, Reps Sean Garballey and David Rodgers, as well as sheriff Peter Koutoujian ran unopposed.

Overall, 82.98 percent of Arlington voters turned out for the election. Here are the preliminary voting results.

PRESIDENT:

Hillary Clinton: 76.07 percent
Donald Trump: 17.45 percent
Gary Johnson: 2.74 percent
Jill Stein: 1.69 percent
