Arlington Arrest Log: Operating Under the Influence

A New York woman was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol in Arlington.

ARLINGTON, MA—The following is an excerpt from the Arlington Police arrest logs. It does not indicate a conviction.

July 8, 5:52 a.m.

Police arrested Clarissa Saldanha, 45, of Kingston, NY on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence. At about 5 a.m. on July 8, an officer noticed a red station wagon parked directly across the street from D'Agostino's, with the vehicle still running and the windshield wipers functioning. An officer approached the vehicle and was able to rise the person driving. Police asked the driver to produce her license and registration but she attempted to shift the vehicle in gear.

The officer later asked her a series of questions and performed field sobriety tests which lead to the determination that the woman was under arrest.
