Arlington Bank Robbery Suspect Caught
Police have charged a man with robbing the same Winchester Savings Bank twice.

ARLINGTON, MA – An arrest has been made in connection with two robberies at the same Arlington bank. William Baro II, 43, of Billerica, is accused of robbing the Winchester Savings Bank on Medford Street on Tuesday, Aug. 14 and again on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Baro, who is known to police, has been charged with two counts of unarmed robbery and two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime. He was arrested at his home without incident Wednesday by police investigating an anonymous tip.
"This case is an excellent example of detectives building a case using the evidence obtained and following up on promising leads until there is a result," Chief Frederick Ryan said. "I am very pleased that these two brazen daytime robberies have been solved, and a dangerous felon has been apprehended."

Ryan also recognized the bank's employees, who he said "remained calm at all times and followed the proper protocols" during multiple robberies and the subsequent investigations this summer.
"They have been excellent partners during this investigation," he added.
Police are continuing to investigate the robberies and may seek additional charges. Baro was held overnight on $100,040 cash bail pending his arraignment Thursday in Cambridge District Court.
