Arlington Campaign Contributions: How Much Went to Leading Democrats?

ARLINGTON, MA—Donations are a crucial part of any presidential campaign, and if dollars equaled votes, Bernie Sanders would be leading the democratic charge in Arlington.

According to the Federal Election Commission, Sanders has received $34,975 in donations from Arlington residents, which leads Hillary Clinton’s total of $30,051 . Sanders also received 396 separate donations, as opposed to Clinton’s 173 donations.

However, Clinton donors contributed significantly more on average. The average Clinton donor contributed $17.71 compared to Sanders’ $88.07 average.

Clinton also leads the Commonwealth with $4,042,909 dollars in donations compared to Sanders’ $1,141,239.
