Arlington Catholic, a private school with students from 47 cities and towns and international students from seven different countries, was founded in 1960. According to the school calendar, Friday marks the end of the second quarter at Arlington Catholic. The St. Agnes Grammar school was founded in 1888.
Both Arlington Catholic and St. Agnes are part of the St. Agnes Parish.
Several other schools across Massachusetts received threats today, but police are still investigating whether or not the threats at Arlington Catholic and St. Agnes are related.
“At this time, we are actively investigating to determine what, if any, connection exists among various threats made against schools today,” Chief Ryan said. “We will work closely with our law enforcement partners and conduct a full and thorough investigation.”
