Arlington Center for the Arts to Move to Central School if it can Raise Funds

Here's how you can help the Arlington Center for the Arts raise money for its new space.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Center for the Arts (ACA) has reached an agreement with the Town to lease a new space in the Central School building beginning in the summer of 2017, if it can raise enough funds.

On Monday, the Arlington Redevelopment Board approved a proposal from the ACA allowing the center to move into its new space if it can raise $130,000 by Jan. 31. The new plans include arts classrooms, a gallery and special event spaces.

The ACA is beginning a $600,000 capital campaign to fund the build-out and create the new ACA. According to the terms of the agreement, the ACA must raise $130,000 by Jan. 31 or risk losing the space.
