Arlington Center Home Furnishings Boutique Closes Its Doors
The latest closure marks the 16th vacant storefront in Arlington Center.

ARLINGTON, MA — Another storefront in Arlington Center is now vacant as yet another business has closed its doors. Tula, a home furnishings boutique which was located at 677 Massachusetts Avenue is now vacant, according to a Support Arlington Center Facebook post on Jan. 7.
The storefront is the 16th vacant space in Arlington Center, according to Support Arlington Center. The town hopes to combat vacancies with a commercial vacancy registry which recently during Special Town Meeting on Oct. 19.
The Arlington Advocate reports that Tula had been open since November of 2014 in the space. Some of the vacancies mentioned above, including the former CVS space slated to become Caffe Nero, are set to be filled.

The commercial vacancy registry requires building owners to register their properties with the town and follow maintenance and inspections requirements.
