Arlington Greek Church Has A New Priest, After Controversy
There's a new guy in town after Father Nick was suddenly ousted last summer.
ARLINGTON, MA — Saint Athanasius Church in Arlington "installed" Father Anthony Evangelatos as the Parish’s new presiding priest on Jan. 17.
Hundreds of parishioners and fellow clergy from across the New England states joined His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston, and Evangelatos, at the ceremony, according to the Metropolis in a press release.
His goal, according to the leaders of the church: "To open the next chapter in the Parish’s history with an uplifting message about the Church’s divine mission, the tenets of Faith, and ensuring that the Parish community remains a beacon of commitment to Christ."
