Arlington High School Design Approved By MSBA
The building project will now move to the schematic design phase.

ARLINGTON, MA – The Massachusetts School Building Authority this week approved the Arlington High School Building Project's preferred design, allowing it to move into the design schematic phase, according to the Arlington Advocate. The design, option 3a, was selected to send to the MSBA in June.
Option 3a consists of a new building that would move the auditorium to the front of the school and provide "swing space" to limit the need for modular classrooms during construction. It also has the option to incorporate historic parts of the current building.
The project cost is estimated at about $308 million, with the town footing about over $211 million. The remaining $96 million would be reimbursed by the MSBA.
