Arlington PD Facing Re-Accreditation
Police will soon face assessors as part of the self-initiated evaluation.

ARLINGTON, MA – A team of assessors from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission is set to arrive Tuesday, June 20, and will examine the Arlington Police Department to gain re-accreditation. The process is voluntary and is a self-initiated evaluation.
"These carefully selected standards reflect critical areas of police management, operations, and technical support activities," Captain Richard Flynn wrote in a release. "They cover areas such as policy development, emergency response planning, training, communications, property and evidence handling, use of force, vehicular pursuit, prisoner transportation and holding facilities.
