Arlington PD: 'No Evidence Of Unlawful Access' In GoPonders Tweet

An inappropriate image of AD Melissa Dlugolecki posted from the AHS athletics Twitter page in January was believed to be hacking.

ARLINGTON, MA – Arlington police have determined there was "no evidence of unlawful access" to the Arlington High School athletics Twitter account, which posted an inappropriate picture believed to be of Athletics Director Melissa Dlugolecki in January, according to the Arlington Advocate. The tweet, sent from the @GoPonders Twitter account Jan. 1, was deleted and the account was taken down.

The Advocate obtained an email from Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan to Superintendent of Schools Kathleen Bodie stating that the investigation into alleged hacking was closed May 22.

Officials said in January the tweet was not a real picture of Dlugolecki and she did not post it. She called it an “intentional, misogynistic, hurtful act to breach my security and privacy" in an email to colleagues, the Advocate reported. However, evidence suggests Dlugolecki had the picture and the tweet was posted from a phone that was under her control, Ryan wrote in his email to Bodie.

Dlugolecki allegedly did not cooperate with investigators and reset her town-issued phone to its factory settings, according to the email.
