Arlington Police Help Residents Fight Back Against Addiction

Arlington Police will host a community meeting on opioids to provide information to those struggling with the disease of addiction.

ARLINGTON, MA—As the Commonwealth throws a stiff jab at the opioid epidemic, Arlington police are educating the public on how to do the same on Tuesday.

The Arlington police are holding an addiction community training and support meeting, with a focus on providing information and resources for those struggling with addiction. The meeting will feature Arlington native Michael Duggan from Wicked Sober, who will share his personal testimony.

“We're excited to have Arlington native Mike Duggan share his stories and experiences surrounding his own addiction with attendees," Chief Ryan said. "Additionally, we're hopeful that CBS' segment will help us spread the message that those struggling with the disease of addiction are not alone and that recovery is possible."
