UPDATED: Arlington Police Investigating Death on Mass. Ave.
The death occurred Friday in Arlington Heights.
Update, 3:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of the death, according to Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan. However, he said, based on a preliminary investigation, it appears to be a suicide. The death occurred inside a Mass. Ave. business, Ryan said. Police are not releasing the identity of the deceased.

The death “does not appear to be suspicious” and “the community is not at risk,” according to Arlington Police, via the department’s Twitter, @ArlingtonMAPD.
The death occurred on the 1300 block of Mass. Ave., or approximately between Davis Road (near Penzeys Spices) east to Daniels Street.
