• Philip Richard Butler (rutherfordsource.com) — A former Arlington resident and Arlington Catholic High School graduate, Colonel Philip Richard Butler, U.S. Army (Ret.), has passed away at 80 after a distinguished 27-year military career and later service to veterans. His life journey took him far from Massachusetts, but his roots in Arlington and Boston remained strong as he built a large, close-knit family and devoted himself to helping soldiers and their loved ones.
