7:30 p.m.: Police are investigating a credit card fraud on Alfred Rd. A man reported that his bank account had been drained of all its funds. The account was negative $706 and $1,718 was charged fraudulently. Purchases had been made in numerous other states on the card, and had most recently been used at Trader Joe's, Walgreens, CVS in Cambridge and to purchase movie tickets online through AMC. Police had received reports of the first vehicle operating erratically. The driver of the vehicle had stated that he was using his cell phone and did not see the other driver. Police observed that the driver may have been under the influence of drugs, and the operator stated that he had taken a prescribed medicine earlier that day. The man was given a breathalyzer test, which rendered a 0.0 rating. The man was transported to the hospital, and was cited for operating under the influence of drugs and the erratic operation of a vehicle. His blood records were also subpoenaed and the matter is still under investigation.
