Arlington Reservoir Master Plan Meeting Slated For April
Town agencies will present the findings on the CPA-funded master plan for reservoir improvements.

ARLINGTON, MA – The town of Arlington will hold a public meeting on improvements to the Arlington Reservoir next month. The Park & Recreation Commission, Conservation Commission, Reservoir Committee and town consultant will present findings on the CPA-funded master plan on April 3.
The Res was built in the 1870's as part of a municipal water supply system, but since the 1890's when Arlington started getting water elsewhere, it's been a park area for walking, swimming, fishing and boating.
The total area of the Res and its shoreline is about 65 acres, according to the Arlington Reservoir Committee's website.
Although all of the Res and adjacent land is owned by the Two of Arlington, about half of it is located in Lexington.
