Arlington Resident Takes Home $52,600 from 'Millionaire'

Arlington resident Twilight Cofield went on ABC’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” with the goal of winning more money than her husband, who appeared on the show last year and took home nealy $25,000.

On Thursday, she did just that, winning a whopping $52,600.

“I would call it some good luck,” she said of her appearance, the third time she set foot in the studios of the game show.

Cofield, a nurse practitioner at Mass General Hospital's surgical department, made it to the show’s second round of questions with an accumulated bank of $52,600 and no lifelines left.

Once in that stage, she had four questions left to win a million dollars. Her last question was, “What Wild West figure's daughter, Elizabeth, wrote, ‘O, Fair New Mexico,’ the first official state song of New Mexico?”

Cofield chose to not guess the answer, “Pat Garrett,” and walk home with $52,600. If she had guessed incorrectly, she would have fallen back to $25,000 in winnings.

Twilight and husband Jason Cofield have lived in Arlington Heights since last July. Jason was in the audience cheering on Twilight, who said she would buy a vacation house on Cape Cod if she won enough money.
