Arlington Restaurant To Reopen Over A Year After Fire

ARLINGTON, MA — The owners of an Arlington restaurant damaged in a fire last year are planning to reopen it. Arlington Economic Development Coordinator Ali Carter told the Arlington Advocate Shanghai Village is expected to reopen, though no official date has been set.

The Mass. Ave. restaurant was damaged in a two-alarm fire in May 2018. It first opened nearly 40 years ago.

Carter told the Advocate the owners are "currently in discussions with various town departments as they are getting things up and running at the same location."
