Arlington Students Walk Out March 15 Protesting Gun Violence

With school back in session following the snow day, the protest was still on.

ARLINGTON, MA — Today at 10 a.m., hundreds of students from Arlington High School and Arlington Catholic High walked out of school and stood outside their schools for 17 minutes to show lawmakers their dissatisfaction with laws and to ask for support from the community.

Arlington Police was there in both places to keep the events safe, police said.

Students across the country planned to walk out of their classes Wednesday at 10 a.m. for 17 minutes in honor of the 17 people killed in the Parkland, Florida, school shooting last month. The snow cancellations in the Commonwealth meant Arlington was one of many high schools that had to reschedule.
