Arlington Touchdown Club welcomes Robert Ryan
Described as "the quintessential American sportswriter" and a basketball guru, will be speak at the February meeting of the Touchdown Club

As part of its monthly speaker series, The Touchdown Club of Arlington welcomes noted sports writer Bob Ryan to its February meeting. Formerly with The Boston Globe and author, Ryan covered basketball for decades. He has been described as "the quintessential American sportswriter" and a basketball guru. He is well known for his coverage of the sport including his famous stories from covering the Boston Celtics in the 1970s. Ryan will be sharing some of these stories and insights from his career, during which he covered 20 NBA finals, 20 Final Fours, nine World Series, five Super Bowls, seven Olympics and many other events. His final column in the Globe was published August 12, 2012.
