An lifelong Arlington resident and longtime water department employee has struggled with leukemia treatments during the last few months, and needs a bone marrow transplant. Luckily for Scott Enwright, he’s well-liked enough around town for his allies to set up and send out press releases for a drive to hopefully find compatible marrow.

The drive is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8 at Arlington Town Hall from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.,and will be overseen by the National Marrow Donor Program’s “Be the Match” registry.

It should be noted that “Be the Match” registration only requires a mouth swab - meaning the process is actually much less invasive than a blood drive, contrary to how it sounds.

More info is available at the event’s Facebook page.
