Boston Philharmonic Worker From Arlington Charged With Child Porn

Federal authorities allege he had thousands of files, including some depicting the sexual assaults of children.

ARLINGTON, MA – An Arlington resident employed by the Boston Philharmonic and the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra is facing child porn charges, according to the U.S. Attorney's office. David St. George, 71, who the USAO identified as an artistic director, was arrested Tuesday and charged with receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Federal authorities allege St. George's IP address was linked to an online storage account that had about 83 images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, including a 1-year-old girl. Authorities searched St. George's home Tuesday and found thousands of files of child pornography, including some depicting the sexual assaults of children 6-8 years old, according to the USAO.

Investigators believe St. George downloaded child pornography from the "Dark Web" and took steps to conceal his identity.
