Gratitude. What Is It Good For?

If your Plan A and Plan B haven't worked out, here's Plan C: Handle Your Life Well, No Matter What's Happening. Easy to implement tools for everyone so that you achieve happiness.

What's gratitude good for?  Everything.

It's easy to get onto the hamster-wheel-of-life and feeling like YOU are the one who is always doing, doing, doing for everyone else.  This perspective can lead to one really messy Pitty Party.   Woo Hoo!!!   Let's parrrteeeee!!!

It's understandable that you want recognition and thanks for all you do, but as they say:  Be the change you want to see in the world.  (Pardon the cliche but cliches become cliches because they have been proven to have more than a grain of truth to them).

We all want to have people express gratitude to us.  To thank us for all the amazing things we do.  You.  Me.  Every single person.

As frustrating as it is to be THE ONE who is THE giver...and it is frustrating...a more positive choice is to breathe.  In.  Out.  Breathe.  In.  Breathe out.   Make a small smile.

Look around (keep breathing) and see where you can express gratitude.

See where you can say "thank you" while keeping in mind that everyone wants to be acknowledged.

Here's a suggestion.  To fully understand what Gratitude is good for, say "Thanks" to at least 10 people every day for three days.  See what happens.

When you start getting that "grrr....why me....I might just be getting ready to throw myself a big Pitty Party" feeling, do this:

Breathe in and out.  Small Smile.  It's not what happens in Life, it's how you handle it.  Handle it with gratitude.  Say "thank you" today.

Especially when you find yourself thinking:  I AM THE ONE WHO DOES FOR EVERYONE ELSE.

Breathe in.  Breathe out.  Small smile.  Express thanks to everyone.  Especially strangers.

Thanks for reading.
