John Rideout Hurls Two Hitter in Babe Ruth Town Championship

John Rideout hurled a complete game two-hitter as he knuckled and curved the Giants bats to oblivion. Rideout walked three while striking out seven, to defeat the defending town champions. The Giants two hits came off the bats of Christian Reenstierna and Michael Lojacono.
The Rogers and Hutchins Funeral Home White Sox were led by Andrew Cunningham who scored three runs, including a solo home run in the fifth inning. Chip Daley, John Smokovich, Rideout, Matt Laurendeau and Jonathan Vaglica (two hits) all had hits for the Sox.

Games 2 and 3 will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday, both 7 p.m. at Peirce Field.
Intermediate League Action
The Arlington Chiropractic Red Sox won the Intermediate League division with a 4-0 victory over the Got Books A’s on Saturday.
The Town Championship starts on Wednesday for the Intermediate League.
