Wicked Green takes home the green

How exciting! Over 1,100 entries were submitted and about 100 winners are chosen, and my show is one of them.

I just found out that Episode 2 of Wicked Green won the best Informational Feature in the Youth Division of the national Hometown Video Awards. How exciting! Over 1,100 entries were submitted and about 100 winners are chosen, and my show is one of them! Thank you to everyone who has helped out with the program or been on it. You're part of history in the making!

I find a lot of the information for my show from people telling me facts about going green, but I also get my tips from various organizations websites, which provide useful facts and ways about how you can go greener at home. I get all the news for my news segments from the Boston Globe. My crafts come from various websites, again, but also from my friends who love to repurpose things and make the useful once again.

While there is some reformatting going on with the show, we are being careful to keep the same amount of information in there. For example, my monologue will still contain tips about simple ways to go green at home (i.e. walking a mile instead of driving saves 6 pounds of carbon dioxide). I will interview people depending on how available they are (if you know anyone, tell me and I'll try to work something out!), but I may or may not just talk about green news during the craft segment. It's all to make it more fun for the viewers to watch and for us to make.

If you know anyone interested in helping out, shoot me a message! My goal for the show is to get people to go green at home and show them how easy it is to make a difference. I love the environment and I want to share that with the world, and my show lets me do that.
