Winners See Things Differently

Winners, despite what others think or say, continue to cultivate and nurture a clear vision of a life full of optimism, opportunity and success.

Do you ever notice when some people walk into a room and they have the word “winner” written all over them? You don’t necessarily know what their secret is, but you sure wish you had it. You’re wondering was it their family upbringing? Their powerful connections? Their job status? Or maybe they have an amazing talent that is envied by all. Whatever their reason, they have this aura of “being in the zone” in everything they do and touch. What is their secret?

Their secret has nothing to do with the material side of life, but rather with their true alignment and innate sense of self. Not worrying or pretending or trying to fit in with everyone else’s version of what their life should look like. They dismiss worrying about the judgment of others and self- judgments early on, and got to work with accessing their own power. Despite what others think or say, they continue to cultivate and nurture a clear vision of a life full of optimism, opportunity and success.

Knowing this can be so liberating. Showing up as me is my biggest party favor. It’s what draws people to me and it’s my story they want to hear. When I show up fully and help someone by simply being who I am, sharing my own personal experiences, in a way that pays it forward, helping others from my own life lessons, can be so rewarding. But for years, I didn’t tell my truth, trying to live life through other people’s successes. It took every ounce of my energy living this way, and felt awkward. I wasn’t telling my truth. I had to script everything, like an actor in a Hollywood movie. This took an enormous amount of time and energy and in the end, left me with nothing.

Standing in our power demands that we be vulnerable, listen to our own voice, and take risks outside of our comfort zone. Too often we think others know better. Winners don’t see it that way. Instead of “I’m not sure” or I don’t know how” or “they know more than me,” winners stand grounded in their personal integrity and take charge of their lives. They take a courageous leap of faith to rise above their own fears and walk through the intimidation of others.

If you want to access more of these principles, I am offering a live four-week class – Creating a Life That Matters, starting May 7th. The course work and exercises will help you create clarity in life, and access the wisdom and passion that is in all of us. Here’s the link for more information.
