Arlington Crash: MBTA Bus Into Tree

ARLINGTON, MA – An MBTA bus smashed into a tree in Arlington Tuesday morning, just before 5:30 a.m. The crash occurred at 1194 Massachusetts Avenue. Traffic is being diverted from the area.

Police said only the driver was aboard the bus and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The driver was transported to Mass General hospital for evaluation before she was released. An MBTA spokesperson said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Drivers should expect "heavy" delays, according to police.
