Carbon Monoxide Scare Closes Arlington's Pierce School Friday
Police said students were being bussed to Ed Burns Arena for pick up.

ARLINGTON, MA — Peirce School will be closed for the remainder of the day because of an incident involving carbon monoxide there this morning, according to police who noted that the fire department and the gas company were evaluating the school.
Police said there have been no reports of illness or injury. Acid from a leaking battery had displaced oxygen in the room, causing the carbon monoxide monitor to go off at 9:50 a.m, as YourArlington first reported.
Students were evacuated at some point after that.
