He looks much like the joker on a deck of cards, and his mischief and comedy aims at a broad audience. One moment, he's playing recorders in seemingly impossible ways. The next he's juggling jingle bells, jiggling his rubber body, or perhaps stunning the audience with his arresting sight gags. Throughout the show he speaks a funny sounding gibberish language called grammleot.
Grammelot consists of a few real words from different languages, and lots of nonsense sounds in between. It could cut through the many language barriers that existed back in the days of isolated villages and hamlets. In those days, before mass media, far more languages were spoken. This serves Alexander today since he often performs in regions that don't speak English., including Mexico, Singapore, France, Belgium, Puerto Rico, Quebec, China, and nine tours of Japan. This past spring, the US State Department sponsored his act in Russia as a 'cultural ambassador'
He has been featured on Showtime, PBS and America's Got Talent, and has performed in theaters from Alaska to Australia.

The comedy comes from the character, who shows many emotions with his face, tone of voice and body language. Hardly a word is spoken. This connects with the audience on another level.
Alex O'Brien Feldman hangs his floppy cap in Somerville Massachusetts , where he resides with his wife Ami and their sons, who are both learning the tradition themselves.
