An Evening with Arlington Authors

Join three Arlington authors to celebrate the recent publication of their new books.  Gary Braver (Gary Goshgarian), Emily Fox-Kales and Elif Armbruster will speak at the Robbins Library.  Braver is a professor of English at Northeastern University and the author of eight novels.  His newest book, "Tunnel Vision," is a psychological thriller that centers on a Boston graduate student who becomes invloved with team of scientists studying near-death experiences.  Fox-Kales, is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and body image disturbances.  Her book, "Body Shots," is an analysis of film and other media represenatations of the female body in comtemporary culture.  Armbruster is an Assistant Professor of English at Suffolk University.  Her work, "Domestic Biographies," examines how the many residences and home life of four of our most important authors - Harriet Beecher Stowe, William Dean Howells, Henry James and Edith Wharton - influenced their writings.  The authors will discuss their works and take questions from the audience.  Their books will be available for sale and autographing.
