Cantilena holds Soprano and Alto auditions at the start of each season. Singers have prior choral experience and either some sight-reading ability or a very good ear. If you are interested in auditioning, come to one of our first three rehearsals in January, sing with us, and then stay afterward for a brief audition with our artistic director and audition committee. There is no need to reserve a spot. No preparation is required. The audition consists of a vocal range check, tone matching, and singing a familiar tune of our choosing.
Our May 1st concert is titled "Madrigal Mania" and includes works by Morley, Wilbye, Bourland.
