Marcia Sewall is the author and illustrator of many award-winning books for children, including:
Pilgrims of Plimoth, winner of the 1986 Boston Globe Horn Book Award for Nonfiction,People of the Breaking Day; Thunder From the Clear Sky and Jamestown. Ms Sewall is a graduate of Brown University and has studied and taught at various art schools.
Sewall's exhibit at the Schwamb Mill encompasses pastel glimpses
of Maine as well as her abstract FABLES and STAGE SETS IN SEARCH OF A PLAY. Please join us as we toast Marcia's talent with wine from New England vineyards and cheese provided by various Boston area purveyors.
Tours of the Old Schwamb Mill, an 1860s Picture Frame Manufactory/Living History Museum are available from 11-3.
