Farm Field Foraging Walk at Wright-Locke Farm (Winchester, MA)

Join us this Saturday morning to learn about common edible and medicinal wild plants found in gardens, yards, farm fields, and pastures.

Many wild plants found in gardens, yards, pastures, farm fields, and abandoned lots across the Northeast are in fact edible or have medicinal qualities. Join us this Saturday, June 6 from 10-11:15am (or a bit later for participants that choose to forage) when we walk around the cultivated fields identifying and discussing the many uses of such plants found at Wright-Locke Farm, a certified-organic farm specializing in small-scale fruit, vegetable, flower, and herb production. Some foraging of discussed weeds will be allowed during and after the walk, so bring a basket, bag, or bucket if you wish!

Workshop fee is $10 per person (ages 16+). This walk will be held rain or shine, so please dress for the weather (rain boots are strongly suggested if it rains soon before or the day of the workshop). No dogs, please. Registration is required, but payment can be made the day of the walk (exact cash or check only, please). Visit our website to sign up or to see our other adult education workshop offerings!
