1. Weather: Expect a partly cloudy and chilly Monday. High temperatures could reach 40, with an overnight low of 30.

2. Christmas trees collection: Waste Management will collect Christmas trees in Arlington starting today, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13. Trees in plastic bags will not be collected. No yard waste will be collected during this week. For more details, visit arlingtonma.gov/recycle.

3. MBTA sign up: The Arlington Council on Aging encourages all seniors ages 65 and older to apply for or renew their MBTA Charlie Card this coming January. This card entitles seniors to a reduced rate for all MBTA services. Applications and renewals will be processed on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at the , 27 Maple St.

4. Senior cribbage: Every Monday, the Retired Men's Club of Arlington sponsors . Cost is $5.
