Former Selectman Makes A Temporary Comeback In Arlington
Former Selectwoman Clarissa Rowe was voted in by selectmen Monday to take the seat left vacant by Byrne.

ARLINGTON, MA — Clarissa Rowe is the new face at the table in the selectmen meetings. She was voted in as interim selectman Monday, Dec. 18 after Steven Byrne stepped down last month unexpectedly.
Rowe brings the number of women on the board of five up to two, at least until April when there will be an election again.
If her face feels familiar, that's because she is a former selectman. She's also the founder of the Arlington Land Trust. Since she ended her three years on the Board of Selectmen in 2009 she's continued to be active around town, including in the Community Preservation Act Committee.
