The Future Of Arlington's Land Protection: Conservation Meeting
Who will protect Arlington's land? That's the question at this community meeting.

From the Town of Arlington: Arlington has 30+ acres of Conservation land which are scattered throughout the town. Who takes care of this land? The Conservation Commission relies on concerned town residents, as members of the Arlington Conservation Land Stewards (Land Stewards), to take an active role in protection of public lands. The next Land Stewards Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Arlington Town Hall Annex, located at 730 Massachusetts Ave (use the side entrance off of the parking lot on Academy Street). We will meet in the second floor conference room.
This meeting is for current Land Stewards and anyone interested in becoming a Land Steward. If you regularly visit or live adjacent to conservation lands, or simply want to become more active outdoors, you are encouraged to attend. Do you have a favorite parcel? Do you have ideas about caring for Town Conservation Land? If so, come join us!

Land Stewards are expected to commit up to an hour a week to walk their chosen site, report concerns, clean-up trash and litter, and attend monthly Land Steward Meetings. The Land Stewards also participate in larger public education efforts and projects around Town. At this meeting, we will be discussing our involvement in Ecofest, Earth Day Clean-Up, and Invasive Plant Management Training.
