Global to Local: Race Matters, Discussion

"Race Matters" is the first installment of Global to Local, a new APN series of public affairs conversations. All are invited!

Several events in the final months of 2014 focused much of the nation’s attention on relations between police departments and their communities, particularly with residents of color. In response to these events, ACMi hosts an Arlington Public News (APN) Special Event – an in-depth panel discussion addressing the significance for Arlington residents of the grand jury decisions in Missouri and New York, and the compelling question of how to ensure that communities draw lessons of value from these tragic episodes. *All members of the public are invited to this live event* at ACMi’s Studio A (85 Park Ave.) in Arlington Heights. Broadcasts of this important panel discussion will air throughout the coming weeks on ACMi’s Public channel (Comcast 8, RCN 3, Verizon 31) and can also be accessed at the APN website at news.acmi.tv.
