GoFundMe Page Started in Support of Madrona Tree
The Arlington Center restaurant may be forced to close, as its lease expires in November.
ARLINGTON, MA — The future of a popular Arlington eatery is hanging in the balance, and residents have come out in support of the restaurant.
A GoFundMe Page has been started in support of The Madrona Tree in Arlington Center, after word got out that the restaurant may be forced to close at the end of its lease. Tanya Abraham, the owner of The Madrona Tree, told Patch that her business may be forced to close for good if it cannot find another location in town.
Abraham also added the restaurant may be forced to vacate its location before the end of its November lease, but there is no current timeline for when that would occur.

In 2012, Patch Readers chose The Madrona Tree's french fries as the best fries in town.
The potential closure of The Madrona Tree would add another empty storefront in Arlington Center, including the storefront of what was once Yummy's Frozen Yogurt Lounge and Punjab, which has been closed since February due to flooding.
