Tanya Abraham, the owner of The Madrona Tree, told Patch that her business may be forced to close for good if it cannot find another location in town. The Madrona Tree's lease expires in November, and Abraham stated that the restaurant's relationship with its current landlord will not extend past November.
Abraham also added the restaurant may be forced to vacate its location before the end of its November lease, but there is no current timeline for when that would occur.

"People in Arlington are very upset," said Abraham, who's eatery also provides school lunches to Lesley Ellis school students."We are hoping in the next few weeks to figure it out. We are trying to hang in tight here."
Negotiations are now in the hands of attorneys, and Abraham could not comment further on the nature of the negotiations. She also added that the restaurant had not had any luck finding a new location.
"We're not sure," Abraham said."We might have to close. We have been unsuccessful at this point. We are preparing to close, unless something miraculously opens up."
The potential closure of The Madrona Tree would add another empty storefront in Arlington Center, including the storefront of what was once Yummy's Frozen Yogurt Lounge and Punjab, which has been closed since February due to flooding.
In 2012, Patch Readers chose The Madrona Tree's french fries as the best fries in town.
Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine issued a tweet in response to a tweet regarding the potential closure of The Madrona Tree.
@BetsyYates @MarcHurBoston This is a shame. @TheMadronaTree is a great part of #ArlingtonMA Center. Meeting w/several landlords this week.
