How Arlington Voted In The 2020 Democratic Primary

Joe Biden may have pulled off an unexpected victory in Massachusetts, but he was not the favorite among Democratic voters in Arlington.

ARLINGTON, MA — Unlike across the rest of Massachusetts, Joe Biden was not the favorite among Democratic voters in Arlington on Super Tuesday. Biden finished second to Elizabeth Warren, who received 7,101 votes, or 39.41 percent.

Biden may have pulled off an unexpected victory in Warren's home state, but he garnered just 4,799 votes, or 26.63 percent, in Arlington. Bernie Sanders finished third with 3,913 votes, or 21.71 percent.

Massachusetts native Michael Bloomberg, who ended his campaign Wednesday after a dismal Super Tuesday performance, received 1,404 votes.

In the Republican primary, President Donald Trump handily beat challenger Bill Weld with 1,079 votes to Weld's 170.
