Hydrant Flushing and Valve Testing in Arlington Has Begun

The Arlington Water Division will be flushing hydrants and checking street valves as part of their annual maintenance procedures. The work will occur in the area indicated as Phase 3 on this map between September 3rd and November 30th. This work will generally occur Monday through Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (weather permitting).

Hydrants along this area will be opened, flushed, and valves will be checked. Abutters of the area may experience temporary low water pressure or discolored (rusty) water. If you experience rusty water in your home, this is not an unsafe condition. It is advised that you run the faucets until you have clean water. Do not run your hot water or do laundry until your water is clear. If problems persist please contact the DPW Dispatch at 781-316-3301.
