The Madrona Tree in Arlington Closes Its Doors
The closure of The Madrona Tree leaves yet another open storefront in Arlington Center.

ARLINGTON, MA — A popular Arlington eatery closed its doors this weekend, leaving yet another open storefront in Arlington Center.
The Madrona Tree, which was located on Broadway, announced via its Facebook page Saturday that it would be closing its doors for good on July 31. The post on its Facebook page indicated that there are no current plans for re-opening.
There are now over a dozen open storefronts in Arlington in Arlington Center. In a previous interview, Madrona Tree owner Tanya Abraham told Patch that the restaurant's relationship with its current landlord would not be renewed past November, and that it may be forced to close before its November expiration.

At the time of our previous discussion on July 18, there was no timetable for when the closure would occur.
In 2012, Patch Readers chose The Madrona Tree's french fries as the best fries in town. Abraham was not immediately available for comment at the time of publication.
