Man Arrested After Walking Into Yards In Arlington

He told police he was just attempting to drink from a garden hose.

ARLINGTON, MA — On Tuesday, police arrested a Boston man after someone reported two men were walking through a backyard on Arnold Road.

A resident described the men as about 40 years old, white, and shirtless in the neighborhood, and noted she was concerned because of recent break ins recently in the area of Arlington Heights. Police found Kevin Harrison, 46 of Harrison Ave., in Boston near the corner of Arnold and Williams roads sitting on the sidewalk with two backpacks.

Harrison told police he'd walked into one of the backyards to drink water from a garden hose. Police said they arrested Harrison at 6:30 p.m. when they discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest as Fugitive From Justice and one for defrauding an innkeeper for more than $100.

Arrest does not imply conviction.

In the past week there have been several incidents reported to the police in the area of Arlington Heights, including two car break ins on Mass Ave and a car theft. On Claremont Ave. there was a report of a home break in on Aug. 20.
